Clutch Instalation on P5

Hello Mazda Lovers,

I was wondering does anyone know of a guide on how to correctly install a clutch kit on a Protg. The reason I ask is, the last time I had my clutch replaced it did not turn out like I wanted to. I thought I was going to have a strong clutch and peal rubber on most of the gear but, I can not even peal on first. What was done wrong and how can I correct it? All comments will be appreciated.

Is the clutch slipping? Sounds more like a protege that simply can't do a burnout

Are you revving the balls off it and dropping the clutch, or feathering the clutch? The first scenario will do a burnout in just about any car, not that I recommend doing it all the time.

Except a protege. Mine would do about 3-4 feet worth of wheel hop

So you can't chirp 2nd? Sounds like a protege. Bad for the glass box trans anyway. Quit hanging out with the Honda crowd
