Mods = STOCK

35,000 miles...tofu deliver boy

- 1 broken headunit
- 1 reflash
- 0 major problems.....priceless

Mods are intake, Apex down pipe, DSM hard pipes, profec E-O1, emanage, and Custom's SMIC. Stock boost...regular oil changed at jiffy lube with mobile 10w30

no trying to say anything but everytime I read one of these threads I get all paronid and noting happens. In orlando I only know 2 MSP with problems...even Cullen's (**********) car is doing fine. When I read the 1st LSD thread I was thinking my car was going to blow up at 10K...then for sure at 20K...and nohing really happened. I saved up for Quaife but ended up not buying it.

:dunno:

Wow...how hard were you launching the car..did you hit any pot holes or unever surfaces while accelerating?
The car has had quite a few hard launches in its day but when it broke was a baby take off then it just gave out.
It was weird...I figured it would break under a hard launch not a soft normal take off....And my mods are always stock on the interweb (wink)

Too bad I'll be on both lists....1st on the motor list and last on the LSD list(for now)

Imma see if I can get the pics of the busted LSD and the new one..They got the new one in this morning.I might hit them up on lunch tomorrow.

but ill be on the lsd list twice so it evens out

now my question is, does anyone think that the dealership is going to let me borrow the new lsd so that i can get it welded before they put it in the car so that it doesnt happen again?

I went one better. I got my dealer to take the new one to the welder and pick it up when it was done before they installed it. Be forewarned - you'll likely have to forfeit the rest of the warranty on the tranny, and the welds will have to be dead on in size or your diff may roar like mine does.

it didn't "just" break. it was fatigued from the launching and finally gave up under normal load. goodluck getting it replaced, I would definately get the new one welded.

When you say "dead on size" are you talking about weight so that it is balanced? What kind of roar are you talking about?
