Car wont start after "installing" tt

I thought our cars came w/ extra fuses somewhere..not sure but I thought I read that in the owners manual..

the owners manual says to replace the fuse with a not needed for driving fuse. IE: if you need ignition fuse, use the radio fuse to replace it for now. the thing is, ignition fuse is 60a, and nothing else uses that.

figured it out. ignition fuse is shot. gotta go to pep boys tomorrow or something and pick up a 60a fuse.

I assume you mean the 60A box fuse (dark yellow body with tinted top). If so, forget about PepBoys. I tried 2 different ones plus AutoZone and O'Reilley (sp?) and they don't carry the 60A box variety. The dealer carries this part and it only cost me $1.82 after tax, but I had to call 4 or 5 dealers before I found one in stock. I have the P/N written down at home, but just tell them it's the 60A yellow box fuse in the under hood fuse box.

Note: You can probably get away with a 40A or 50A box from one of the parts stores, but I would replace it with the OEM-sized fuse ASAP.

Im sorry dood, but What the hell were you thinking not disconnecting the Battery before playing with a wiring harness? Dood, that is the FIRST THING you do before you work on just about ANYTHING in the car, especially behind the Dash. You coldve run the risk of doing some MAJOR DAMAGE. I.E. Lighting the car on fire, or burning out the main harness. (which no insurance company will pay to get fixed, because the labor cost is horrendous.)

Food for thought. Dont touch any wires BEFORE you diso the battery. :D

Horray! My testical is safe for now....(yippy)
