boost sensor solenoid

Hello everyone,

Does any one know when the (EGR) boost sensor solenoid switches on and off? I know at idle and key-on position, that the solenoid should be open.... other than that? Mine is not functioning..... and I think the ECU may not be providing the ground that it needs.....

:.:. Whoa, looks like I forgot to get back to this post! ( I will edit this, rather than bump this up) I ended up throwing a code, and it was for "unexpected operation of EGR sensor" but it was the solenoid that had +12v on both sides :( which means no voltage differential across the solenoid means that it won't work.

FYI if someone stumbles upon this...
The solenoid works with a constant 12 volts on one terminal (when key on) and the other side is grounded out by the ecu.... aka if the ecu is not grounding out the line... then you will see the 12 volts at the ecu (ecu pin out chart). so the wire that goes to the ecu will ONLY be ground when the ecu switches to ground, and will float (but probably be +12) elsewise. so reading resistances is tricky then :)
