boost builds really slow (vid)

agreed, the stock wga sucks, get the atp, i replaced mine on my old slotege and it never pooped on my like the stocker did. and its only like $60 i think?

I don't agree. Before my original stock wga went bad, that s*** held solid 7-8psi when modded.

The Atp sucks in my opinion. That s*** is all over the place, doesn't hold boost right. Atleast not all the time.
I can't wait to get 440's and the afc so I can get the HKS wga.
 
installed my hks ssqv v3 today. it doesnt chirp often prolly due to lack of boost lol. it sigh's instead (dunno)

edit: dam. totally forgot to blow in the wastegate line again. got to go back to work now so maybe later
 
if it was a bad wastegate you would be over boosting because the WG would not be opening due to a torn diaphram. it is probably some sort of leak that you have in your FMIC tract or even intake manifold. try to run a boost leak test and spray some soapy water onto your couplers and intake mani.
 
am i crazy or do you go to like 26HG? what is your HG at when idling? and where is your needle when the car is off?

me thinks your guage is borken~
 
its like 24/25 ish when the foot is off the pedal. at idle its 21/22 ish.
 
thats normal so its not an intake leak most likely. did u check ur manifold for cracks? do a tuneup. clean or replace ur egr valve, and take ur car to a auto shop and have them smoke test it for leaks, thats the most dead on way.

I'm at the same boat but my question is what are the affects of a cracked exhaust mani on boost? I know it affects your AFRs but how bad does it affect boost presure?
