It's not an approximation. You are taking the list price of an M3 with every single option possible with a 328i sedan with not a single option (not even the M3 styling kit). You even rounded down the list price of the 328i sedan from $33,600 to $33,000.
Real-life list prices would be $40,000-$45,000 for a 328i and about $65,000 for an M3, both with typical options.
no i havent gone and done price comparisons.

i bought my protege LX 2.0 for 5996$ which i realize now was overpriced.
that's the only real numbers i can give you ATM.
