Blank switch covers in 2012 Dash - easy to remove?

I'm planning on mounting an UltraGauge in my 2012 Mazda 5 Sport. The ideal spot is where the traction control/blank switches are to the left of the left side upper cubby near the OBD2 port.

I'm thinking of relocating the traction control switch, or simply mounting over it with limited access, since I don't foresee EVER turning it off.

Question - can the blank switches be removed from the outside without damage to the surrounding dashboard?

Thanks - JMJ

Nope

I pulled the section of dash out and popped out the blanks from behind by squeezing on the upper & lower spring tabs. Small hands and good flexibility are assets. Lacking one or the other, swearing is an adequate substitute.

They cannot be removed from the outside.

Thanks Nurburgringer - that's the thread I reference in my UltraGauge install thread.
