Automatic Window Switches

Anyone else have problems with these? On the three front switches, one does not work at all (the driver side that controls passenger window), one sometimes works (more often than not) and the last (passenger side) rolls the window down, but the "auto" does not work.... I hate to take the car in for something like this....

If your battery was ever disconnected, you need to reset the controls on each window. Start on the driver side and push the window down button and hold for 3 seconds after the window is all the way down. Make sure that you don't push enough to engage the "auto" function. Do the same for the passenger window. Once that is done, you should be OK. Let me know...

That did it! You rock! That has been annoying the crap out of ever since I purchased the vehicle.

One thing tho.... There seems to be an additional sequence in addition to what you recommended. I tried this several times to noavail. I finally held the window "up" in addition to the "down" as you described. I heard a "click" on the door towards the mirror and the window worked fine after that. Not sure if this additional step was required or whether I was doing it incorrectly the first few times.

Regardless... Thanks!

I also have this issue - intermittent. Battery never replaced, checked out fine. Windows work fine, then suddenly power to switch is lost (only front passenger window can be controlled from driver side switch). Turn off car, remove key, re-insert key and turn to "on" (not start) and switch works normally. Start car and it works fine...until....it goes out again - may be 2 minutes, may be days. Same solution with ignition key to resolve the issue. Two dealers found no codes - one dealer wanted $160 to replace "defective" battery - the other had all access panels off to check wiring, but couldn't get the issue to occur.
Frustrating....
