Is the auto exe exhaust available in the us or is there somewhere it can be ordered from over seas? Oldly enough, it's available on amazon in Japan or something.

sorry if this has been up brought up 500 times already. :/

Is it a full system, cat back, or just that small section in the picture (just muffler and tip basically)?

Is your interest performance or sound? If you are looking for performance, I doubt that muffler will do much for you. And if you mainly want the appearance, you can buy tips that any exhaust shop can weld on.

Sound and look honestly. I know it's pretty much the same thing any exhaust shop can handle. Just curious as to if it's available and what cost differential there is.

I think the Autoexe is just an axle-back. I want to create my own exhaust for this car, running 3" from the cat back.

IIRC the Auto Exe is REALLY pricey (exchange rate and all) like $500 bucks expensive, although I may be thinking of the header....

Yeah, I was working under the assumption that I will be making my own exhaust (after the downpipe) for the turbo. I doubt anyone (at least not the US) is making performance exhausts for this vehicle.

I have access (not EASY access) to an NC mandrel bender that's been offered if I want to build something... was thinking of taking advantage of that to make a cat-back. I don't know what the cost would be, but I imagine that the routing under the 1st and 2nd gens are pretty similar if you want to go in on it.

I'm definitely interested. Cost, or more specifically timing of the cost, will be the important thing for me. The basic turbo is going to eat up my disposable car budget for about the next six months - I wouldn't be able to commit to anything before that.

would any of the maz3 2.5L catbacks fit?
...

Since the 5 is in many cases a long & tall 3, and his thought crossed my mind in the past. I kind of wrote it off since the "long" part probably means exhaust systems aren't a direct swap. The mounting around the rear subframe would likely be similar, but at the very least you'd probably have to lengthen the system somewhere. Maybe you could get away with her just making a custom "midpipe"? I'm talking out my ass though since I haven't looked at the underside of a 3.

Cool. The truck and S2000 will eat up my car budget for the year, so if I happen to come across an extra $2k I'll turbo the 5. :) Let me call my buddy and see what he says about NC bender availability.
would any of the maz3 2.5L catbacks fit? Cuz Autoexe isn't just $500, it's $650ish + shipping which means it's going to be more like $1000.
edit: $1057.41 to be exact. (rofl2)
OUCH!

I think the mounting positions are the same underneath- I think the Mazdaspeed 3 exhaust fits after adding a long section into the middle only- basically just extending the length under the main body of the car.

I have autoexe for 1st gen MZ5 on my 2nd gen MZ5, it's axle back. Yes, I'm supposed to take pictures and make a video for the sound clip - wife and I have been having unmatched schedule so I don't see the car until it's late at night. First of all, fitment is pretty much the same except the tip where somehow it's too short. Again, this is due to the fact it's designed perfectly for 1st gen not 2nd gen. It does look awesome in 1st gen MZ5 because the rear bumper has proper cut out and length for the tip. The one for 2nd gen looks perfect just like the picture above and regardless, autoexe is really quality and I love the sound, it's mellow and it's rather quiet compared to other exhausts I have installed. I am thinking of selling mine in order to buy another one for the 2nd gen. for the right look.

There are a few who have mounted a stock MS3 muffler on the MZ5, just go to a muffler shop. Way cheaper than $1057.41 lol
hmm.. there are several gen2 ms3 axle-backs for sale locally for ~$200, but they're all dual-tipped. that's just not ninja-mod enough for me...

Torque - No drone on the highway, quiet...sound is really on if you WOT otherwise just a little growl for low RPM, really suitable for an older man like me. Butt-dyno, honestly I can't tell but I got it because I love autoexe products, they specialize for Mazda only. This exhaust is really expensive because we have to deal with freight forwarder company - you pay shipping twice literally, 1st within Japan and the second shipping to US usually requires EMS.

Anyone who has contacted me with interests to hear the sound - thank you. I will not let you down no more and I will try to make my video this weekend,(cabpatch)
