At what mileage should Serpentine and A/C belt be replaced?

Replacement interval is 100k miles/7 years but it should be replaced based on condition. If the belt is cracking it is bad.

This summer I had the shop replace these belts on our 2008 Mazda5. It had about 62000 miles on it at the time. I was doing a whole major maintenance on this car...coolant flush, transmission fluid flush, new rotors & pads, rear shocks, and new belts. I noticed a little cracking on these belts before I had them replaced and the technician at the shop said that there was a little life left in them but not much more. After reading the threads on this forum about replacing these belts, and how much of a pain in the ass it was, I decided it was worth it to pay someone else to do it.

Same here, replaced mine at 68K miles. Weren't too bad looking, probably had a few thousand miles left in them. But I changed them myself, easy 30 minute job...not sure why people say it's a pain?
