No pictures on the site because they use a full tube role bar that stiffens up the chassis so they don't need one. Cutting is minimal. Just two holes. The hard part is getting the holes to line up.
zackyfarms: go to the same site and go to "price listings" (or what ever the last choice is) you will see the rear strut bar for $325.........i think that is what you want
yeah get a rear bar made yourself...i got my own made by a race guy here in australia...cost me $300aud - that's like $190usd at the moment...made out of chrome moly and powdercoated black.
i've attached a piccy for ya...
oh and i'd definately recomment getting one...makes the back a lot stiffer in my p5
i posted about this before in another thread a while ago. but i have to get pics for you to see. ill give you the procedure to make one.
your rear strut towers have a steel bracket which has (3) nuts holding it on the strut perch. it supports the seatbelt harness. there is one for each side. i removed the harness completely. you will then notice two spot welds holding the smaller bracket in place. i drilled thru those and got rid of the bracket and was left with just the steel "bowl"
i purchased two 2.5" 90 degree mandrel bent steel tubing along with (cant remember the right measurement right now) a 2.5" straight piece to connect the two 90's
mig welded together, cleaned it up, and painted it gloss black.
it them bolts right in to the stock strut perch.
it looks like a rear roll bar
hope that helps i know i explained it rather crudely but it really is THAT simple and IMO looks alot better than the aftermarket ones. as soon as i can ill post pic of it.
