Anyone actually had flt-a2's rust?

I've been reading up on the flt-a2s, and i've been wondering if anyone's actually had any rust issues with them? I've read a lot about "omgz it r teh rustz" but i haven't heard anyone say "mine has rust." Anyone have any info about it? It's the only thing holding me back. Thanks.

i think its more of a theory and a concern than an actual proven fact.

snow + ice + salt on roads + water + aluminum = bad news.

i read that the teins are the ones that rust and the Jic's don't rust. But then again I could be mistaken.

Uhh, I only got a B in O-Chem, but I don't remember aluminum rusting. I better go out to the shop and make sure my 11 engines for my race car ore not "rusting" away.

Aluminum corrodes.

speaking of organic chem I have a test in 1 hour. Well, I gtg to school and hopefully pass this bizznitch. Wish me luck.

Just remember, it ends eventually!

umm, aluminum forms an oxide layer on top which actually PROTECTS the rest of the aluminum from oxidizing

Aluminum doesn't rust. It's used in sailboat construction. Back to the jics. ;)

I've had mine for almost two years and I live about a block from the ocean. Every nut and bolt on my car has begun to oxidize, but the FLTA2 are just fine. :) About once every two months I take the wheels off and clean them and the suspension up really well. The last time I did it, the JICs looked perfect. :)

I just use some left over soap from washing my car. I usually do the suspension on Detail Day...about every couple of months.
