Hey all,
I'm leaning on purchasing a 2016.5 GT, and would really like to protect the leather as much as possible. I have a Golden Retriever who is still a bit nuts/playful, and I take him into the car twice per day, every day, for his walks and outdoor activities. I have a Ford Focus at the moment, so it was never an option to stick him in the trunk, obviously. He has gotten so used to riding in the back seat (and occasionally moving up into the front passenger seat) that I'm not sure if I can get him used to riding in the cargo area. He generally wants to be around me at all times, so I may have to put him in the back seat.
That leads me to seat covers. I know the seats are perforated and I'm extremely worried about his claws ripping them up over time. Does anyone have any recommendations for reasonably thick, well-fitting seat covers, for both the front and rear? I am also considering one of those "dog canopies" you can get that attach to the front and rear head rests and sort of cradle and make a little home for him in the back, but I would also like to add seat covers for additional protection.
Thank you!
