any of you guys changed their when their rad fans turn on/off?

like a switch in the cabin or controlling them with separate switch? basically anything where the ECU does not exclusively control the fans.

I'm hoping I only need a new thermostat, but I have noticed my MSP boils over a few minutes after I turn it off if its really hot out and i drive hard. I was thinking it couldn't hurt to force the fans to stay on for a few minutes after shutdown. Some other cars and trucks do this by default.

just throwing this out there, maybe use a turbo timer to let the car idle for a bit or maybe let the car run while the fan cycles on and off once or twice before getting out and see if that does anything. Turning the car off after a hard run does nothing but stop the flowing of coolant. So, you now have coolant just cooking in your cooling system without a chance to pass through the radiator
