Alright, can someone tell me if this picture was photochopped? Personally i think it is, due to some reasons I won't say because it might influence the reasoning of you, so I will disclose them later.
any avid photochoppers here?

What do you think were the signs that it's a photochop sirnuke? Personally I found the reflections to be off, the wheel wells to be extremely jagged, odd positioning of the door, and a blurry lines around the headlights that seem to be the work of the brush in ps. Not to mention awkward shadowing, although I can't put my finger on what's exactly wrong.
the wheels are definitely chopped. look at the shadow that is produced by the fender onto the rim. definitely some airbrush there. the wheel wells are too choppy to be real...anyone who put their time and money into a vehicle like that would not be that sloppy...so thats chopped too. the lighting on the grill looks funky...so that looks chopped, along with the windshield...the angle looks wrong.
id say the wheels scream out PHOTOCHOP the most.

I noticed many of the things you two guys did...the windshield is a bittie..
also...that thing would have to be sooooooooooo custom....for starters...I have NEVER EVER seen a school bus of that vintage from ford....I not with that front end anyway...that is a pickup front clip...
now....even for a SHORT bus....do you know how big those rims would have to be to fill those wheel wells? the LARGEST wheels made today are 24's....and buddy.....24's wouldn't fill the wheel wells of a bus....no way.
the fuzzy lines around the headlights are another tip off as well.
and the wheel wells are choppy and not smoothe at all....

I think for the most part this image looks pretty real. The jagged lines around the wheel well lead me to believe the vehicle was likely lowered digitally. And the shading of the wheels and tires themselves looks a little odd. The door looks fine, I don't know what you see out of place with the door...

Jason...People say "photochop" basically because it's like your "chopping"..or modifying an image in Photoshop.

I have been using it ever since I got a computer.....its been a while....I think I have forgotten more about the program than I still remember....lol things change so much.....
and the fact that you thought the image was DIGITALLY LOWERED.....is exactly what we were/are talking about. "chopping" up an image and putting it back together to make something completely different.
and I can't imagine the term bothering you....that is unless you work for Adobe... :{D

I think the reason why this particular word does is because of this:
The first time I saw it used, it was referring to a picture of a car that was was lowered (often referred to as chopped), and I figured the person using the word had combined "Photoshop" and "chopped" and combined them to mean the picture had been lowered with Photoshop. It seemed witty at this point and didn't bother me.
Later I see the damn word in 1 out of 5 threads and idiots who don't know anything about Photoshop are screaming "That's gotta be photochopped!", at any picture that looks even a little suspicious (or doesn't).

okay jason....we will try not to irratate you with the term....
BUT.....a car that is CHOPPED is not a car that has had it suspension lowered....if you CHOP a car....it means that the ROOF has been removed, has the pillers sectioned on the horizontal plane, new pillars constructed or modified and the roof replaced....thus making the car have a lower profile...and LOTS shorter windows.
then there is Sectioning...which is the process by which you modify body panels on the horizontal plane by cutting a "SECTION" out and putting the body panel back together, thus shortening its over all height in the process....
then there is Channeling...which is lowering the body on the frame and not altering the susupension.
Lowered is Lowered or Slammed.

I'd vote fake as well. How in the world is that bus getting around dragging that front bumper on the ground ... with no worn out look anywhere? Oh yeah, hydraulic... nevermind... still looks unbelievable.
Uh, guys? I can even give you the two vehicles that is was shopped, chopped, trimmed, shaved, whatever the hell term people agree on. (It's fake!)

It could also be from just an ordinary 44-50 truck (look at the upper hood) with other school bus parts spliced in, or from a bus itself. I also believe that most buses made during that era were longer, so its been chopped as well.
And there's no maybe, this is definitely a fake, for all the excellent reasons listed above and more.

For a cloudy day (no sharp shadows), the yellow is too vivid. Especially the front which near the right edge of the photo. Stare at the part between the front bumper and the surrounding pavement, it looks like a drawing. The chopper probably used PS to mask it and artists know PS is not a good masking tool.
something else that looks "fishy"....they went to a lot of trouble to make it so you could see THROUGH the bus and see the big truck parked behind it....however.....why, if it were real, would the owner totally black out all the windows on the right hand side of the bus and leave the other side clear? hmmmmm and the doors of the bus are open....and yet its so dark inside you can't see ANYTHING? even with the windows on the left side front being either clear or OPEN? I think not....it wouldn't be totally dark......its obvious to me that its been blacked out. Also the reflection in the chrome strips on the side don't look like they match with the area that the bus is in....for starters...on the upper strip....well the picture is taken from nearly horizontal from that strip...the reflection would be whatever is on that same level behind the shooter....NOT THE SKY!!
