OK So like I just feel like im such a lazy kid now.... Here is my schedual:

Sunday: Off
Saturday: Off
Monday: Off
Tuesday: School 2-4
Wed: School 2-4
Thur: Off
Fri: School 2-4

And ya so like 6 hours of the week I actually DO something semi productive. The rest of the days are just spent playing games and hanging out with friends... I just spend all day thinking about what im going to do next to my car(s).. BTW im 17 and a junior in HS this year, my parents pay for me to go to this private slacker school where there is basically no homework, no tests, just chill. So ya thats kinda why I feel like a bum and I cant get a job cus im going with a friend spring break to surf cali for a week then right after that I go to thailand for a month with a friend and the whole summer ill be in mexico :O. I have another 1 year of this before I go to college at UNLV. So ya thats my life. Sounds like fun, but its rather boring.

I remember those days. Enjoy it while you are young. Trust me, it goes away, and I'm only 24 and it's long gone. I had enough fun during my 16 to 21 year old time period for everyone on this board. I have seen both the Atlantic and Pacific. Partied in 12 different states. Gotten drunk in 8 different countries. Spent 7 months pointing lasers at stuff on the ground and blowing them to hell while kicking back in an air-conditioned Hummer. I got to crash two $2,000,000 unmanned planes. Got to meet 12 generals, Colin Powell, Madeline Albright (one tough b****!), and Bill Clinton. Boned a Columbian prostitute in Frankfort Germany, (when in Rome, do as the Romans do)! Got high on the side of a runway in Macedonia as Russian Antonov Cargo planes (way biger than a 747) landed within 50 feet of us laying on the ground at night.

I've done a lot, seen a lot, but the fun now is being married and starting a family soon. It's a different fun, you it grows on you.

So I say again, enjoy it while you can.

wow and i thought I was special :X ur so lucky! I wish I could travel... So I take it you were in the army? I was thinking about going into the navy...

Dude - your folks need to smack some values into you - for real.

Nothing worse than spoiled kids who either brag or b**** about it.

My folks have plenty of dough - but I was working when I was 15, they never bought me a car, and as I got older I paid rent.

They tried to show me how things are in the real world. And I'm a better person for it - I understand the value of hard work and how much a dollar really is.

For your own sake - get some sort of life. Get a job. Do something for yourself instead of having mommy and daddy do everything for you. Learn to cut your own meat and wipe your own ass.

makes me sick to see that s***... you have no idea what the real world REALLY is...

I think it's funny how people start calling people spoiled just because their parents bought them a car. There is some pent up jealousy and agression there in you people.

just coming from a guy that has worked hard and payed for my own things. Parents give advise... not dollars

Maybe he did something good to deserve that car. How will you guys ever know, you won't be able to hear his reply over the sound of all you guys bashing him for having his parents buy him a new car. If my kids are good I'll do the same for them, but if they are bad, screw them, they are on their own.

Jealousy? Agression? Hardly. I feel sorry for him.

17 years old, and feels the need to post here about what a bum he is. The kid had 6 hours of "work" to do per WEEK. And even that is just "hanging out" to use his words.

I'm not saying he shouldn't be living it up, and enjoying his lack of responsibility. It's his PARENTS who have the problems. 17? No JOB? Fancy brand new car? I don't think so.

It's is the job of a parent to instill proper values and ethics in their children. All this kid is learning is how to **** around, and have mommy and daddy pay for everything.

It's not jealousy - it's a crying shame.

And what could "good thing" could he possibly do to deserve not only a car, but a complete free ride. Where's the insurance money? Gas? All the "upgrades"? What about the fact he says he thinks about what to do next to his car(S)?? Hmmm... must be one helluva kid to deserve more than ONE car!

But I'm sure you'll do the same for your kids.....they'll be just as unmotivated as he is.

Thanks big_ben, and yes I have done somthing good. For last few years I have been in public schools in the LA area. I have maintained above a 4.0 GPA and lots of activities out side of school, including my own import/export business dealing with silver and gold jewelry. This is why I feel like such a bum now, becuase I dont do anything, but I guess I deserved it. Im just killing time untill college, becuase IMHO HIGH SCHOOL is a total waste of time (for me).

You can't blaim the kid here. Maybe his parents worked hard to be able to provide an easier life for him....but at the same time give him small responsibilities like good grades. Hell I get up everyday and work hard so that I can provide my wife and family a good life with everything they want. And I'm gonna give my kids whatever they want but at the same time teach them not to take anything for granted and how to work hard to reach your goals and most of all ....stay out of trouble. It worked for me.

I agree, HS is a waste of time. You don't really learn anything worth while until college. I really enjoy college, I just don't like homework.

dude you SUCK... I'm 17 and a senior in highschool.. aside from going to school monday through friday 8-2:30.. I have about 5 hours of work a day and 8 on sundays. I have to pay for every cent of my car (460 a month on car payment alone) and I wouldnt have it any other way. I dont have ANY money to spend on my car and theres no way in hell im getting any out of my parents. It feels good knowing I own that beautiful yellow automobile.

I bet you get an allowance... lmao...
