2003 Mazda Protege
Hello guys new here, I am replacing my wifes wrecked cobalt with a 2003 protege LX. I looked at it this morning, has 98k miles 1 owner. Took the car to a local firestone and had them look the car over and they said the car was physically solid with really it only needing a sway bar link and both control arm bushings need to be replaced. Trans and motor is in good shape. I looks to have a little bit of rust starting on the front of each rear wheel at the very edge of the rocker which I was actually just going to cut out sand down and repaint. but the body is in physically good shape.

2003 is a good year. they upgraded the tranny in that year

how much is he asking?

Um how did they upgrade the trans? If you're referring to the sport auto then that is just the shifter and ecu the trans is the same, the car he posted pics of clearly has a regular auto...

Also at 98k you will want to do the timing belt soon

Talked the guy down to 4k. Timing belt and radiator have already been replaced
