Aftermarket exhaust

:
2003 MSP
I know people are talking about making exhaust, but is there anyplace that actually sells pre-fab exhausts for the MSP? what are my best bets to upgrade the d-pipe cats and exhaust thanks!

screw greddy, they are just a bunch of dicks

When my buddy got his cat back from them...all the welds were ****** and he called them to see about a replacment..and they pretty much told him to **** off.

**** greddy man.....seriously

greddy dont sell direct unless he bought from their online store... should try calling them again this time talk to sales...

The JIC 505 SUS works on the msp, as do all exhaust systems for the protege sedan. the JIC has the largest diameter piping though, at 60mm

so any protege sedan exhuast will fit the msp. does the MSP have 2 cats? does the aftermarket exhasut replace one of the cats? any info is appreciated!! if it goes from the first cat back, where can i get a larger cat and can i get a shop to make me a bigger downpipe? will any 2.5 inch high flow cat or testpipe fit?

i've read some people have 'gutted' out either/both cats....how exactly is this done? and does it really offer a performance gain?

don't gut your cat! It is illegal and it will make your car run/sound like crap.

If your buddy is having problems with Greddy, he can take them to small claims for a filing charge of $65 I think.

The Greddy also has 60mm piping.

I ordered the JIC 505 for my MSP! It should be here tommorow, I hope. I'll try to post some pics and give some butt dyno results as soon as it's installed.

I believe the greddy is only an axle back, and only for the p5. The JIC is only a cat back, and yes the msp has the evil double cat set up like the sedan. Your best bet would be to get the dp from apex, then make a custom mid section using a 2.5" high flow cat, then the JIC exhaust. that would give you a system of around 2.5" from the turbo back.

let me clarify the exhaust starting from the turbo:

theres the callaway turbo flange, stock dpipe with 2 cats, midsection and mazdaspeed axle back.

anyone removed the turbo flange and port it to see if itll improve exhaust flow?

the greddy is a full catback evo for the p5.

i didn't know that greddy had released the full p5 exhaust. Last i heard it was just an axle back.

the msp exhaust goes like this as far as i know.

Turbo, dp w/ first cat, midsection w/ second cat, piping w/ resonator, racing beat muffler

only real options for the msp are:

JIC
Bosal
Racing Beat
and a few more that i cant remember right now.

Close but theres a callaway turbo flange at the beginning like i said. its not even long enough to call a pipe. it all unbolts into 4 sections.
