hey guys i got my greddy profec b specII and im going to be installing it this weekend but im new to all this crap do we have an acuator type or a wastegate type, im thinking we have hte wastegate type but i could be wrong also if anyone has a writup on how to install this with some picturees or something woudl be greatly appreciated even just detailed instructions woudl be good, if not i guess i'll wing it buy the instruction manual LOL.

did you try a search..? might have some install writeup somewhere...

i did a search and nada, i usually dont ask questions unless i dont find a answer.

It is an actuator type as Greddy puts it. And yes it is the small brass looking can attached to the turbo with a long rod on it going over to teh turbine side the vacuum line going to it from the turbo compressor is the line you will have to splice to go to the solenoid for the boost controller.

thanks :) much appreciated. gonna tyr to install today hopefully. maybe tomorrow.

lemme ask you guys this, if i look at a install howto for the manual boost controller would the hose they splice into be the same hose i would need to splice into for the greddy profec b specII if thats the case i can find a howto with pictures for at least that hose the rest i think is going to be pretty basic.

just wanna double check, not saying yoru wrong kenetix i even pm'd joe about it, but anyone else out there wanna help confirm, i just wanna be absolutely sure b4 i start the project i know that sounds anal or whatever, but last thing i need is to have to roll my car up to mazda dealership and have them void my warrenty and tell me im gonna have to pay to have whatever it is replaced yanno.

looking at the manual do we have a factory boost controlling solenoid valve dual port actuator, or single port actuator, needa know so i hook up the ebc valve right.

also are you sure its a actuator type? with how the mbc is installed seems as there were a wastegate type anyone know for sure? hrm.. i just compared the book to my car has to be actuator type is the actuator considered the bov? or is that something diff?
