AC intermittenly blowing warm air

Just a few days ago I went to turn the ac on and noticed I did not hear a click from the compressor. The air was ambient temp not cool at all. Just as I pulled into the drive it clicked on and started cooling again. This has happened a few times since then. Today i decided tohook up the gauge from an ac recharge can I bought a while back and didn't use. The low reading was aboit 100psi. The compressor would not kick in though. Fuses are all ok from what I saw . Could this high pressure reading on the low side mean there is a blockage or something. I have not had a chance to climb under and check the ac clutch itself but the fact that it still works sometimes seems to indicate that is not the problem. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
