Alright I always here about people putting better mounts to reduce the wheel hop and engine shaking. I know nothing about this. Can you guys feed me some info on different brands, vendors, and quality. And the difference between hardness and softness. If theres a difference, do I change all of them with the same stifness?
I didnt know where to post this so I put it here. Mods can move it if they like.
If you dont reply to this, thanks for atleast reading through this.

AWR: makes front and rear motormounts. Different durometers have different stiffness (i think there are three versions: 95, 88 and 75). From what I've read, all of them do a good job at killing wheel hop and controlling engine lashing. but harder the mount, the more vibration will be translated into the cabin.

RR Racing: makes polyurethane motor mount inserts. These are inserted into the stock motor mounts to fill the gaps. I just bought these, but haven't installed them yet. People who have these gave good reviews on them. Minimal vibration, but they control driveline lashing and subdue wheelhop. they sell rear motor mount inserts as well.

The rear mount is a b**** to get to and replace, the front is a piece of cake. Many people are satisfied with just replacing the front mount.

There is now another option of the weapon-r engine damper, Im not sure if anyone has tried it yet since it just came out.

thanks for replies. I am aware of the weapon R mount. I will be getting that. Possibly ordering that this weekend. As for the different stifnesses. Which is harder and which is softer. Im guessing I will just order the one in the middle. Keep the info coming. thanks

AWR calls the mounts MT, AT and Street ... MT is 95, AT is 88 and Street is 70 or 75 durometer. If you really are getting the WR damper, then probably a street mount is all you need. If you don't think that's stiff enough later, you can just upgrade the motor mount bushing rather cheaply (not the whole bracket, just the polyurethane part).

I got the filled stock mounts from NSN (Turfburn) and I absolutely love them. I did the front and driver's side, and will be doing the pass side shortly (I'm not doing the rear until I have other things to do in that area - I want to kill two+ birds with one stone if I'm going to go through the hassle). There is definite decrease in engine movement - it doens't feel like I'm fighting the engine when shifting - and there is minimal increase in vibration. In fact, unless you were very familiar with the feel of the car at idle before the mounts were installed, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Wheel hop was virtually eliminated and shifting is better; the only downfall I've found so far is that there is increased clutch chatter, which can get annoying.
