98 protege cv axle

i am at a loss about now i cant get the passenger side cv axle out i've went threw 5-6 flat heads now that have broke trying to pry it out. i tryed just pulling it out but i can feel it separating from the cup that is in the tranny, i tied a rope around it and tryed gerking it out and no luck. pry bar doesnt seem to get me any farther....what to do now ??

You will need a larger prybar and 3lb or greater hammer. Get the best bite you can between the intermediate shaft and the axle and while prying as best you can, simultaneously hammer on either the prybar or the axle itself to help jar the locking ring free. You might want to grab a second person. Don;t just keep yanking on the axle itself or you will rip it free from the inner (as you said you can feel happening).
