3.25" deep CDT speakers in front door...possible?

I came across an awesome deal on some CDT CL61 components. The problem is they require a 3.25" mounting depth and I've seen Sir Nuke's post about the max depth that would fit is 2.5" - 2 5/8" and that means they are .75" too deep. Even if I put a spacer there I'm afraid it won't clear the door grill.

So the question is...should I take the risk and go for them?

They probably will not fit so unless you want to make some big ass kick panel then you may want to pass.
