Hi guys !
First november snow in here today...makes me want to sleep it off until summer comes around and get some mods done on my 5 !

Any plans for next summer on youts ? I'll be doing the basics, getting the exhaust i got welded and installed, maybe a CAI or SRI(dunno wich one yet),LED interior and maybe a reverse camera to fit my Pioneer HU. Thinking about a lip kit too, Bayson R or something like that, depends on the budget with the wife not working for a while, pregnant with our second born.

What are your plans for 2014 ?

Near future plans:
Week of Nov 18: Install Sirius tuner
Week of Dec 2: Install AST suspension
Week of Dec 23: Sound deadening / soundproofing (full interior removal)
Jan/Feb 2014: Wheels/tires
mid 2014: Turbo

Did you get an answer from AST on shocks?

And I might have an extra Sirius tuner if you want the factory module- I'm not using mine.

Here's the lowdown on the AST shocks:

(Tangent: I learned that Vorshlag USED to be the US HQ for AST, but is not any longer. The business got too busy and AST/Mouton split off and are now a separate entity just down the road from Vorshlag)

I talked to AST, and they told me that they do not have a mz3 or mz5 application. They built a MS3 SEMA car a couple years ago, and basically determined that there is no Mazda market for high-end suspension (other than the Miata). I had pretty much arrived at that same conclusion myself during my research, as the "best" suspension I could find was the BC racing (which I was surprisingly impressed with, to be fair) and maybe[\i] KW (whom I contacted, and found them unwilling to give me much support in adapting a mz3 kit to a mz5 by supplying new springs).

But AST said, they would be willing to sell me the set that had been on the SEMA car for a discount, so I jumped on that. They said they could do a run of mz3/mz5 units if I had at least 3 to 5 interested people, fwiw.

I would be interested in the sirius tuner, but I'm not sure if it would plug right in (or work at all?) The part numbers for the first gen and second gen tuner and install kits are different.
