Hey guys I am trying to sort out a mess of a stereo for a friend. She owns a 1999 mazda protege and the previous owner made a hack job of the wiring... cutting off the stock connections and hard wiring the stereo in... while twisting wires together and using freaking tape.
Anyways I'll soldier in the new stereo how ever my issue is all the referal charts I find online don't seem to match the color codings I have in the dash. Does anyone know where I can look for a what seems to be alternate wiring chart? There are wires that are some what the same and some wires that are not even on the chart...
Would going to a wrecking and picking up the stock plugs and putting them back on than getting an adapter and doing it right be my best solution?
