1992 Mazda Protege Running Hot Hot Hot !

No Check engine lights, Just replaced the water pump because there was a leak. Now it seams its still running hot.. no leak, but it is pumping it out of my overflow, but that just might be because i am filling it up to much. I have tried to let the car coolant system bleed to get the air out but I am not sure I am doing it 100% correct.

I am not Pegging Hot but I am defiantly about 95% Almost on the "H" It gets hot when I am going faster, cools down once my engine slows down. I know I need to change my transmission fluid (as if that has anything to do with it.) Radiator seems to be have fluid in it when i check it but the overflow bottle seems to be overflowing coolant.

Got a new radiator cap that seems to be a little warped already cause of how hot it is running may buy another..

Hate to ask because this really should have been top of your list, but you did check/change the thermostat right? Is the electric fan coming on? Is it running continuously once your car is that close to H? How rapidly is the engine heating up and cooling off?
