0w-20 GF-5 with moly discontinued?!

So I'm getting prepared to do an oil change on my daughters 2023 Mazda CX-5 and wanted to order another case of oil for my house only to find that the GF-5 0w-20 with moly has been discontinued ?!?!?! The superceded part number 000077ECO07QT doesn't say it contains the moly additive. Does this new part number still have the moly additive but doesn't show it on the label?

This new Mazda ECO 7 0W-20 GF-6 oil looks like still from Idemitsu but made in Mexico. GF-6 oil has been in the market for several years now, Mazda is late to offer such oil. But for $16.81 MSRP per quart, I’d pass!

I ordered some up today. Next oil change is probably 6 months out but didn't want to deal with availability issues if the lubricant shortage rumors are true. I don't expect it to get cheaper regardless.

Interesting Toyota TSB discussing mixing weights to make it go further at dealers. It seems the 0W-# oils may be more affected.

No. An oil formula is the sum of its parts and whether or not it advertises "moly" does not tell you much about its performance.

If it failed to perform it would not have passed GF-6 certification.
