My girlfriend mazda popped up with a Power Steering whine that wasn't normal for the vehicle. Many forums state the whine is normal, as the electric ps pump activates. The whine comes when turning the wheel at low speeds and at dead stops. I checked the fluid and its full. Then I noticed that pulley/part of the power steering pump seems to have a wobble or shake. I can't tell if the pulley is shaking or a part or thr pump is shaking. Prior to this, there has been some squeaking coming from the serpentine belt. The belt is chipping, so I mean to replace it. Any idea what this could be? Thanks
Also from what I can see, the steering pump is separated from the pulley system, am I right? So Im correct, what pulley is associated with the pump or because its electric, does it require a pulley? Sorry, new to this vehicle.
Correction, it is the auto tensioner wobbling.
