My first post here on this forum community which looks very active! A bit of backstory... I bought this vehicle from a friend it's a Canadian car has been exposed to our salty roads. Recently the timing belt broke while being started on the driveway. I heard these are none interference...

The engine in my cx7 has recently gone up in smoke. Literally. Is it possible to to replace that engine with the non turbo 2.5L that is on the newer models? I would like to get away from the turbo.

we have a protege5 2.0L 4Cyl 5-speed manual trans, the rod bearings were spun so we pulled the motor after disassembling most of it to get it out, we then got a used motor almost fully built (except for water pump a/c and alternator) we do not have the oppertunity to put the car on the motor but...

So Im pulling the motor to replace the rod bearings Ive got the wiring harness unplugged and pulled aside and the plumbing dicconected, Im going to get my axels and shift linkage disconnected from the tranny maybe later today or tomorrow morning. anyone have any advise?
