The ZOOM-ZOOM Live Event

In response to Hurricane Katrina, Mazda has decided to cancel the Zoom-Zoom Live event scheduled to take place on September 24th and 25th in Houston Texas. Mazda supports the contributions being made by the Houston Astrodome and all of the volunteers that are working diligently to help the victims of this tragedy. The Mazda Foundation has made a generous donation to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief effort. We encourage you to do the same through either the American Red Cross (redcross.org) or the Salvation Army (salvationarmyusa.org).

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please be aware that this event will also visit Dallas Texas on October 1st and 2nd. To register for the Dallas event simply return to zoomzoomlive.com, click on the 'Event Registration' tab, and update your registration information.

We appreciate your understanding and support and look forward to serving you in the future.

Best Regards,
Mazda North American Operations

makes me wish these people would leave our town. hell most my friends here want them gone since they are eating up our job market right now. dont mean to be an ass but s***, most of the poorer people ended up here and now we're having to compensate for it.

i haven't personally witnessed anything but ive been hearing about a LOT of purse snatching around downtown and car stealin in the dome area. but im not sure how acurate that is. to be honest almost all of my college (very well educated) friends as well as my family and people on the radio really sorta dont want most of these people here. its not as if we got all the upper class new orlean people. but i did see a few nice SUV's yesterday from there so it seems some of them had some money. and we got 2 students in my arch studio that were from tulane university. one of them his house is completely gone and his family is scattered throughout the nation and they dont know if they'll ever get back together.

my mom went to oshman's earlier this week up on the northwest side of town. she was talking to someone that worked there and they said in all of the years they've been open (which has been a long time) they've never been broken into. since katrina, they got robbed 3 times in one week. it's ridiculous.

in one day last week, we got 32 new residents in my apartment complex. they said that's more than they usually get in a month. the parking garage is pretty much full now, and i honestly think i see more louisiana plates than texas ones.

has anyone else noticed a large increase in out of state plates other than louisiana ones? i keep seeing plates from everywhere... new mexico, florida, new jersey, wisconsin, etc. you think it's people coming to help they're friends and family from la???

i see the plates here and there but when i went to the galerai last thursday i saw a TON of luisiana plates. like everywhere. i also saw a blue mp3! crazy
