Wanted to see how many people from this site will be at the mazda event this weekend at Arlington park? Have any of you guys attended one of these before, how did you like them? Maybe i will see some of you there.

Anyone who missed it is a L-O-O-S-E-R! It was awesome! They let us BEAT on those Miatas all damned day on that track. I had that mother going sideways in the turns. There was nothing left of those Yokohamas at the end of the day, and the track smelled like burning clutch and brakes all day long. It was BEAU-T-FUL!!!

Anyways, I had a good time, it certainly was fun... was told by one of the pro drivers behind the wheel of the RX-8 that I should seriously consider joining SCCA because I've got natural tallent... Woo hoo!!

Yeah, I was there with my fiancee. We had a 3:30 drive on Sunday, but got there a bit later as we took a wrong turn somewhere along the way (this town was a lot closer than what I thought - just 25 minutes from the city - but a nice town indeed, esp. the downtown area). It was a GREAT day - got to drive a number of different models and burned some rubber along the way (drive2). I also knocked over some cones on the turns, but all in all it was definitely good times.

Are you 3 feet tall? My eye level was over the top of the windshield so the windshield support was in my sight line. But I would get used to it if my wife let me sell the kids to get a new MX5.

I was there on Sunday and had a blast as well. I got three runs on the fast course with the Miata. One run was an extra since the timer broke My best ended up being 38.4

I wish I would have driven the RX8 again. When I did that school of zoom, I thought I was going to get another lap or something. I actually *listened* to what the guy was saying when I should have been flooring it and having fun, since I have autocross experience. We pulled up and everyone got out, and I was sad. heh.

Also the black P5 parked in front was a damn clone of mine, just clean. Well, not really, it was just a black P5 with tint and a similar camera mount It had a CAI and that was about all I could see in the moment I looked. The AWR race Miata was f'n badass (the green one inside).

I was walking out right when the timer broke... We didn't know how long the wait would be becasue of it, so we ended up leaving... I wish I had a second shot at it though, I ran a 37.8 on my only go at it, and I know there were spots where I could have seriously improved my time... I almost went across the finish line sideways!!!
