We are proud to announce the second annual event date has been set. Due to the success of last years event and the maturity shown by our guest, MazdaMeets.com was able to work out an ANNUAL deal with Road Atlanta and the SCCA.

Mazdameets.com will be hosting Zoom-Fest '09 on July 18-19th at the infamous Road Atlanta course, which offers a gorgeous 2.5 mile track, 750 acres, and close proximity to all needed amenities. This again will be a 2 day festival type event for all Mazda and Mazda powered vehicles. We strive to deliver a safe and enjoyable weekend where you can meet new people, hang out with some old faces and take your car to the limit!

Over the next few months the organizers will be finalizing all the details. We will keep you up to date as more information becomes available. The things we do know at this time will help you plan for the weekend.

* Guest can show up as early as Friday Morning!
* Camping will be allowed, and encouraged!
* All ages are welcomed!
* There will be numerous opportunities to drive the race track, including a PDX (3 - 20 minute sessions with a driving instructor - At Speed!)
* Swap Meet - No charge to sell your extra parts!
* Saturday night outdoor movie!
* Much, much more to be announced!

We hope to see you there. Please keep an eye out for updates posted at MazdaMeets.com.

Price? Can't recall what last years was. I would like to eventually make it out to one of these. Is it free to spectate or just cheaper? Anyhow, looks like fun. We'll see how things are as the date approaches.

i think its like $20 to get into the track that day. however i think they are working out an all inclusive "zoom Fest" price which will include some other goodies

20 bucks. If that's all you might be able to just count me in on that mess. I really just want to see what it's like to drive on a track. Never have.

I'm planning on camping out there on Friday night.. if anyone wants to do the same maybe we can get our own little group of tents together or something. how does the camping normally work? Anyone know?

I will join the mazdameets.com forum tonight and try to get some questions answered. I am curious to see how big this will get. I know they had 9 people last year but than again sevenstock had less in its inagural year. I also know $20 covers entry into the track during the scca events. Doing the pdx, taking away a goody bag and other such items are probably going to be extra but I believe there is a good chance of at least parade laps. As for camping seeing as this isn't petite leman they might keep us in one area if not in years past we like to camp in the turn 5 area

I'm down for camping. That's a good way to bond with the fellow Mazda guys (and gals!).

Let me know Korey. I am a member on that forum already but I don't check it often... or at all.

Had a question brought up...no you do not need to be a scca member to participate in this event

i was there last year. it was awsome. we are trying to make this year even better. so dont miss out!!

Why does everyone keep throwing the number 9 around? We had 18, I was there. I think the most we had at one time was like 12, but with people comming and going it averaged around 9 and was 18 total.
