I would not use plastic washers. First they can crush and you can't paint them. I painted mine to hide them and they are hard to see unless you really try.

You could put them behind the plate as well (white plastic spacers) will fit.

yea if they are hard your all set, but where I put mine you could still see them a bit so I had to paint them. lol it was funny, after I put them in and took the time to paint the screws the washers REALLY stuck out.(rofl)

fits, but its work. you have to do a little cutting. In my case I had to cut the Greddy Slots alot and make a custom trim to go around them so they would mount through insted of behind the plate. Then you have to trim your dash away some to get it to bolt in correctly.
