MINE JUST CAME IN!!!!!

Put the deposit down last October 15th and got a phone message at work today that I'm first in line and ........

IT'S HEEEERRRRREEEEEEE!!!!!

I'm planning on only working half a day tomorrow and going to pick it up after lunch. Wow, I'm really excited. My first new car in 10 years, and it's a really great one.

Just want to say thanks to everyone on this forum for sharing with me your getting your cars. It's the only thing that's kept me positive through all the waiting.

Now I've got to call a friend with a digital camera so I can have some pictures to post!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D Happy, Happy, Happy!

Damn the dealer where i live called me and said if i was interested....told them i already bought a P5....oh well...(BTW I bought my car back HOME...the dealer that called me is near where i go to college.)

woo hoo ORE-GONE! :p

which color did you get and how do you like it? post pics; we need more of the black!

Wow! Sorry I've been off line putting 200 miles on my beast. :<))))))

Guys, hang in there, because it is really, Really, REALLY WORTH IT!!! This is the real deal if you like to carve canyons, drive two lane twisties, autox, or just fly low! My best work on the local roads was in 3rd gear between 40 & 60 mph. Wonderful power, terrific grip, and absolutely no drama whatsoever. The car takes a set and just carves the corner. Even tight switchbacks can be taken with confidence!!!

I am 100% happy with this car. It's great around town, has 4 doors & 5 seats for carting the kids and their friends around, rides comfortably for commuting, and then drives like a true bred racing car.

Still on my first tank of gas, down to the last quarter but have 280 miles on it.

Can you tell I'm excited???? Ok, I'll shut up for a bit. I'll post the pictures I took today after my friend emails them to me (his camera).

You must have been the guy that bought the black one at Herzog Meier. I took it out to dinner the night before, they let me have it for an hour w/o salesman. I put about 20 miles on it around Beaverton. I bought the orange one at Ron Tonkin that night. I had the first deposit at Herzog, but they couldn't get the orange one in, so I went elsewhere. I got tinted windows for free too!
This is one fine car, it likes to lift the rear inner wheels when cornering like a VW. I have had mine for five days now, 224 miles. The people who said it was worth it were right.

"First MSP in Oregon!"

Britt: Yup, I bought the black one at Herzog Meier. When did you put the deposit down? Mine went in October 15th. They told me the first guy in line (you) couldn't get enough money for a trade in and that's why you didn't buy it! LOL.

I tried to put money down at Tonkin, but they wouldn't quote me a price. "Well, we have a list of 39 people interested in the MSP, so we'll give you a call when they get in." Right. No price, no deposit.

Love this car!!!

The trade (98 Dakota R/T CC) I had agreed to, I had actually left to go pick up my wife from school, and when we came back to buy it they wanted $8000 cash down as opposed to the $4000 we had agreed to. So I said, no biggie, I wanted the orange anyways, so I went to Tonkin and drove it home. I agree that the black is a little more classy, but I collect Cosworth Vegas and all of mine are black, so I needed a change.

BTW I was real nice to your car, and they said the the Mazdaspeed mechanic guy and I were the only ones that had driven it. We just went down to Nona's for a pizza and back. I put my deposit in on Oct 8th (my b-day). I brought the MSP by the next day to show the color to Ricky and Jake, the two salesmen, and saw your car in the shop getting cleaned up for delivery. Usually when they say "You gotta buy it, there's another deal working on it" you think it's a line, but I guess it would have been true on this.

That's cool, we got them pretty much the same day. If there was 39 people on the "list" then there will be some p'offed people when they see me driving around (and you can see me from the moon I think, this thing is bright).

Maybe we'll meet up one day,

Britt
