"You've Been Tagged" Cards

I know some of you have requested to get business type cards made with the mazdas247.com website and the NV section URL

I got the ok from Antoine to go ahead with it. RJ I know this is something that you 1st mention....

Sooo.....anybody want to take the roll of getting them done? or perhaps throw down some ideas of what we should put on the card or designs.

Lets get to brainstorming!!

well, I think one big problem is the NV section URL:

not too pretty looking in text, and possibly too annoying/difficult/etc for a non-internet/computer savvy new user to bother with...

Heck, I consider myself net/computer savvy, and as such, I'm constantly paranoid about adware/malware/etc... so any non-simplistic URL on a piece of advertisement, I avoid like the plague.

Kind of a double-edged sword.

I would suggest we get our main group together, and perhaps pickout an available internet domain-name thats catchy and appropriate for such use, and one of us with available hosting capabilities build a small page to point here (I know a couple of us have the hosting capabilites for something this minor), but I'm afraid that may encourage a page that may detract from both this board, and the vegasmazda's board (I at least would want to include both communities since it is VEGAS/NV people we're trying to attract by giving out cards in Vegas, ehe...)

So, I guess my biggest question, is there a way to make a shortcut to the NV board? Ala somethign similar to "mazdas247.com/NV"?

If not, I'd be glad to double check w/my host and see what I've got to do to add another domain, and build something simple that would link to both communities, if we can come together as a group to agree on something acceptable/suitable, etc.

ahh i totally get what your saying...lol...never thought about the size of the NV URL.

Perhaps we can just add a little line that says something like "come visit the NV section." I know not alot of people are forum literate, but i am sure they could work it out and locate the section.

Once we get it going I could always make a sticky in the section for "Post if you have been tagged.

I know I have seen cards from a local site in Dallas that has a spot for the person leaving the card to leave their username on the site.

out of respect to Mazdas247.com, I would really prefer just to have this forum on the card.

I don't visit the other forum as often, but I assume this gets more activity then the other anyway.

i to whish that the url for here was simple and short like rick said mazdas247.com/NV would be much easier... well i'll upload me design again 2nite from school, its 3.5x2 (buss. card size) i also kno where we can get them printed for cheap

I say make the website URL bigger... and the forum logo slightly smaller... and more contrasting color to the website URL... and a tad smaller "you've been tagged" text... maybe more friendly would be "you've been spotted!" ?

make both instances of the name "mazda" easier to read... (maybe white letters?)

As it is, its nice, but if printed in business card form and stuck in my window, I'd just see you've been tagged and a bunch of colours and a car, and throw it away thinking its just an ad. (just making suggestions and giving realistic feedback, don't hate on me )

Need to make the "MAZDA" parts POP up if you want mazdaholics, and potential mazdites to notice and pay attention (esp since those of us who have been born and raised in vegas are VERY good at ignoring anything that looks remotely like a commercial)

Its a great start man...looks good.

I agree to make the website URL a little bigger. I like tagged...but a vote would be good to see what people prefer.

ohhh and I love the idea of having the 3 on there

something that kinda motivates them to check it out.. the background seems a little to mesmerizing and too busy... for some weird reason, i got a little dizzy after staring at it for about 20 sec.. lol

Chris suggests to use a good meet picture of ALL of us...

maybe we should ALL meet up and take a "group" picture for this.. maybe a couple pictures, maybe even a ton of pictures.. (just a suggestion)

i do have some pix from the last few meets but if everyone is down, we can all get together for a photoshoot...
