You Guys Think This Tire Can Be Plugged?

My wife's snow tire was punctured by a screw which stinks since there is a lot of tread remaining. you guys ever have a similarly located puncture that could get plugged? Or is it definitely a lost cause? If you can't see it, it is right where the tread meets the sidewall. Sorry for the tough pics.

i know its painful...but the rule is sidewall or shoulder cant(shouldnt) be fixed...and this my friend...is the shoulder....thats $94 you'll have to spend.

Thanks man, I figured that was the case but thought it would be worth asking, haha.

You think it would be safe to buy just 1 with the amount of tread we have? I know the rule is usually 2 tires at a time...which we might do anyway since I can't find the ws60s anywhere in the size, so we may have to upgrade to 2 ws70s.

Sucks because we were going to do 4 fresh all seasons this spring but maybe We'll do two all seasons and two winters and slowly get them all done over the next year or two.

You should be ok with a brand new one. Run it on the front 70% of the time until it wears down similar to the other tires. You'll still want to flip to to the back occasionally to prevent cupping. You have 6-7 months to find a single, check Craigslist etc.

Ask a tire shop if it can be repaired. I would think if it's only a puncture and there is no other internal damage it could be repaired with
an inside patch. A good tire shop will not plug a tire, they remove the tire and patch it.
