I had a nail in the sidewall of mine today and went to get 2 new tires. NTB has the oem ones at 219.99 each. I said why so expensive for a crappy tire? And the sales man was very serious and said no these are a premium top rated tire. I didnt want to argue and chose some good years to replace the 2 with. Now im wishing i just bit it and did all 4.

Can I ask you how you get those amazing mileage numbers? What speeds do you drive at and do you hyper mile?

My commute is 50.2 miles long with 3.2 miles of that being city driving. The last four fill ups my highway driving has been 60 mph, city driving 30-35 mph. This fill ups have averaged near 42 mpg. Prior to that, the highway driving has been at 65 mph and it resulted in 39 mpg average. 37 mpg at 70, and 35 mpg at 75 mph.

I keep my tire pressures at 40 psi, I usually shift at 2500 rpm, I have the manual tranny. That's it for me, I don't shut the engine off and glide, I don't draft semi's, not sure what else hypermilers even do.
