Yokohama AVID ENVigor Tires

My wife and just purchased a used 2009 Touring AWD CX-9 with 18" wheels. I've really noticed the tires are extremely loud on sub par roads and did some further research only to find the OEM Bridgestone Dueller H/L 400's are the crappiest tire out there.

The past year I've really come to learn a lot about the importance of your tires and try to do all the research I can. Does anyone have experience with the new Yokohama AVID ENVigor tires? I know most of you love the Yoko Paradas but the Envigor has a 60K mile warranty and is about $65 cheaper per tire. We'd really like to find a better tire that is also a lot quieter than the OEM Dueller's.

Interesting. It lasts a bit longer (560 vs 420) for extra 20% cost (186 vs 159 for 20").
However, the tread pattern does not look like it will do as a great job as the Parada Spec-X.
It is more for Dry & Wet than Snow.

My vote is still on Parada, all things considered until I see more good reviews from real users.

Looking at tread design the Parada definitely looks better for snow. I live in OK so snow is not to bad but we do get some along with ice so I definitely need some snow/ice traction.

Just wasn't ready to fork over money for tires since we just got the vehicle, but I did some research on the duellers H/L 400's and I need something safer and quieter for the wife and newborn. I may end up having to pay extra for the Parada's since it looks like the Envigor's are still special order and not in stock yet.

Duellers are OK on dry pavement, but still not as good as the Parada Spec-X.

Okay I may have to search for this since there is a lot of talk about the Parada Spec-X but what kind of mileage are people seeing out of them 40K, 50K, ???

W/o more scientific data, Spec-X's UTEQ is 420 vs OE's 260.
If your OE Deuler lasts 26K, these Spec-X will last 42K.
That is according to the Fed.

For what its is worth, my OE tires lasted 25K. I could have squeezed another 5K from them, but I couldn't wait to get rid of them....
