Hey guys just introducing myself , name is Oscar I am from sunny Socal. Have an 07 speed3 for about 8 months. Ive looked around at a few of the forums and this one seems to have the most members so I figured I jump on the bandwagon.

I have a few bolt ons Cobb SRI, TRZ rmm , race pipe (CS i think but no one has been able to tell me for sure).

Anyways hope to learn from you guys, I want to start with the cosmetics of the car right now and make it stand out!!!

I have random shots that we took of the car, I didn't post them because I joined another forum last week and when they saw my car was basically stock they started being douchebags so I looked around for other forums.

Since you asked here she is....

she looks pretty stock, so I want to start out with moldings and then badging, just not sure if I want to go black or blue. Thinking about radically changing the look of her just to see if I can pull it off.

I know, not much to look at right now..... :-(

well, if you want a "hey look at me" car you picked the wrong color.
you want a black or white one for that, ( ok, mebbe red)
blue and silver are your sleeper platforms. In a silver speed you could post a buck and a quarter on a cop radar, in town, and if you pulled up at the next light next to a civic with a wing,.... your gettin a pass

Metro Gray is pretty stealthy too.

Too ******* red for me. I'll never own another red car. Would prefer not spending every waking ******* moment of my day worrying it being parked outside and how fast the color is fading.

Black badges would look best IMO. I presume that you are removing the molding? Are you planning any performance upgrades?

Welcome!

I was thinking the same thing? :) The guys that started that forum got banned from here because they were/are douchbags.

Welcome aboard, Oscar!!

Of your two choices, I would go with the blue. Silver/blue sounds good to me. Besides, many others have done black. Blue would be a little more exclusive. But be aware that your front badge is especially susceptible to stone chips and fading. I used to do my badges in metal cast (tinted/clear) red and really liked the look, but I gave up. Having to redo them 2-3 times a yr got old.

And yes, please do a molding delete. where its mounted, its useless anyway. Notice the 2nd gens don't even come with side molding installed.
