no, it wont fit, because Mazdaspeeds have a smaller radiator. also, if you have a turbo kit, then its very likely your turbo isn't in the same position as the MSP.

as for just the core, well, yes it will fit, but there are FMIC better designed for a regular protege out there.

what would be the best way for me to go about turbo chargeing my mp3

Read "Maximum Boost" Corky Bell. Then read the forums for about 6 months until you decide on a kit.

If you are serious about going turbo, Little Beavis is selling his Spool turbo kit for sale on this forum, for around $2300 (negotiable).

(his exhaust manifold was faulty and cracked, and he ended up getting a different kit)

Spool Stage 2/3 with:
-T3 turbo
-Intercooler
-Tubular exhaust manifold (my manifold)
-Stainless steel upgraded pipes
-Couplings and clamps
-all the necessary oil lines (INCLUDES a flow control regulator)
-an oil pan with a fitting already on it (for the oil return line)
-SS CAI intake with Blue silicone couplings and a stainless steel laser cut mounting bracket and blue air filter
-ALL the needed gaskets and hardware. All NEW gaskets
-Deltagate Wastegate - and a section of exhaust tubing that will route the wastegate under the car
-Rspeed narrow band AFR

yes. unfortunately, its not just as easy as saying "i want to turbocharge my car" buy a kit for $3000 and be done with it. It requires a lot of reaseach, time, and mechanical know how. I suggest getting the Corky Bell book as well. Its a good read.

(doh)
Yeah, he's right. You definitely need to do much research before you make any decisions.

I just re-read your posts and you certainly have a lot to learn before adding a turbo.

You only have to read Maximum Boost if you want to quit being the dumb ass you claim to be....You just need to surf the forced induction board and MP3 board to get a handle on what's available for your car, then have a shop do the install.

Spool, Hi-Boost and Mental Addiction Motorsports are the big brands for turboing the Protege.

He's right. To buy a turbo kit and be done with it, expect throwing at least another grand toward a shop installing and tuning it. But you don't need to be smart to do that.
