Well getting the car back from the shop tomorrow, and ive already got my plans for rims, but not sure what to do after. Rims will help with he appearance but im not sure if i wanna keep going that direction or get more performance.

my current mods are: PTP testpipe, CP-E CAI, ** Boost tubes, Medievel MM's, ** rear mount, Greddy RS BOV, boostgauge

I was thinking coil overs or TBE, but not sure which i wanna get into. i still have 15k left on the warranty so the TBE is kinda iffy for me. i have a hookup on some D-2 coilovers for around 850, so they are looking pretty good. Whatdu guys think though, should i be doing a different mod then the 2 above? if not which should i go with..

suspension!!! but then again, that is what gets me going. i love cornering. so if it were me, that would be my move

Dashhawk, rear sway bar, coilovers or shocks/springs. Not sure I've heard of D-2 coilovers, but I'd go with BC's for about $950-1,000 or Koni Sport shocks and Eibach springs for around $850. I'd also get a driver's side motor mount. Before going with the TBE, get a fuel pump upgrade.

I always say rubber and suspension first. On any car. I can't think of too many cars where there isn't more power available than there is braking ability, traction and lateral grip. Suspension and tires improve everything about the car. Less wheel hop, more traction at launch, better cornering, better braking, better balance, better ability to make use of the power driving into or out of a corner.

If your holding on to your warranty that DP may not be the best way to go. You still have plenty of options. If your after power you could get an intercooler or cobb ap.

I honestly woulnd't spend all the money on coilovers if you dont plan on taking your car to the track often. Springs and sway bars should be plenty.

Your car in the shop for the noise? Did you find out what it was?

yea, it was some kind of bearing on top of the strut that went bad, prob got ****** up from hitting a pothole or sumthin, idk but its covered so its all good. didnt even need to remove my mounts, the speed tech at the dealership is in love with speeds and was askin me about my mods n stuff so. o well next time ill know

D2 is actually a very decent brand, my buddy drifts and thats all he uses now, loves em. 36-way adjust, pillow ball mounts, the whole 9 yards with a very good price tag. only thing is they are purple haha, ive drivin a couple cars that have them installed and i like em. may be out of the ordinary for a 3, but hey dont know till you try.

Tires im gonna get some Kuhmo Ecsta ASX's, 235/40/18. SPT's were also a choice, but i need some all season tires.

yea my big worry is warranty still, and with this bearing thing who knows whats next. my tech may be cool, but if Mazda decides to show up n sees the crap, ill b screwed.

I want coilovers for the fact i can change the height as i please. when i lowered my mustang i put springs, and they ended up being to low in the front for me so i was disappointed.

i vote for a tbe..that will free up some nice power....also i vote for keeping it as stock and stealth as you can...sleapers ftw!

i had the thought of debadging, and i had a guy with a regular 3 who wanted to trade wings, and he said hed pay for paint haha, have them really confused

Get a TMIC then. Solid gains and super easy to install. Downpipes can get you in trouble with dealers.

I put my car back to stock everytime I visit my dealers. I don't know what you do but you could also get a FMIC. They aren't TOOO hard to install but it will take you a few hours to install / remove it. Kind of a pain if you need to visit the dealer.

D2 is crap. i bought coilovers for my old 240 from them and the sent me the wrong ones 3 times(the third time they sent me the coilovers they sent me the first time).i ended up getting my money back and bought Stance coilovers, a bit more expensive but way better quality. i would never buy from D2 again.

so how do know the quality of part sucks when you never even received them to try? just because the customer service sucked in this case doesn't mean that they make a crappy product.

the fact that they sent me 2 S13 coilovers and 2 S14 scoilovers twice. they dont even know thier products. and in person they dont look nearly as nice as the stance's.

was it direct from factory? ive worked a little part time for a performance shop and we never had an issue

wouldn't need a tune for intercooler?

A tune such as the COBB AP will help you in any stage of modding but you dont need one for an intercooler. Look at the mods in my sig. I dont have a cobb ap yet and my car runs great. Only time you really "need" a tune would prob be new downpipe or turbo.

your right were im at minus the top mount and shifter, plus boost tubes and soon to b inlet so i guess i could wing it(for a while)

idk, ill give it some thought i guess, more possibilities then i thought. I really wanted a front mount if i upgraded so thats another decision on top of it all haha
