I just got finished painting my calipers with yellow Dupli-Color Metalcast paint. I put one coat of Metalcast Groundcast. Then 3 coats on the yellow. I have pics that I just took but I'll take some more tomorrow in the day. I absolutely love em:D

Looks great you should have done your rotor caps at the same time. Or is that next weekend? Looks good though.

Looks nice man. I wrestle with the color of mine all the time. I'm still not sure what color I want to paint mine...that is a pretty sweet color though. Great job. Get a further view away to see the finished final product.
:D

I was gonna do the rotors hubs too but it would have taken too long to clean and prep them. Also, it looks like the calipers cover a little bit of the hub and that part wouldnt get sprayed. Has anyone sprayed the rotors with the calipers on?

looks like ti would have been a more brighter yellow with more ground coats, eeverything in the engine bay I have done has had 3 coats of the groundcoat. very nice look in the end.

at 5-6 bux a can I can afford to be generous with the coats, it cant hurt.

Also your question I assume is about the overspray I see on the rotor?

other than temportary bad look it will be fine, with brake use the paint will come off, same as with rust.

btw what did u paint ur wheels with?

No, I'm talking about the actual rotor hubs. I wanna paint my rotor hubs but don't think I can paint all of it with the calipers on.

now that's pretty! I was thinking about doing mine in blue, but now I am thinking twice about that.

i'm fairly certain that there has been a thread about painting the rotor hubs...

the only drawback that i remember being discussed was paint getting on the rotors but the pads remove that after a good, hard braking. (only potential prob being a bit of degregated performance on braking for a couple days)

in addition, i think that i've heard of a TSB (tech serv bulletin) that required mazda to clean up your rotors and rotor hubs for you (or replace them).

anyways, that's all i've got....

I brought up the rust on my rotors, that started showing up shortly after I brought car home from my dealer and told them there was a TSB on it and they said, it didn't apply to the Mazdaspeed Protege only those mentioned in the TSB so I still have rusty rotor hubs. Damn stealership. Someday I'll get around to painting them.

That looks sweet. I did my calipers with the blue metalcast
with two coats of basecoat. I also did my lugnuts. I didn't use the basecoat on the lugnuts just the blue right over the chrome and it looks awesome in person.
