x-type?

hey my moms looking at selling her 01 acura tl... i am looking at the new car for her...
1. x-type 3.0
2. audi A4 3.0
3. beamer 325
4. G35 (all wheel drive)

which one...aaaaaah driving me nuts..anyone have any specific info about the jaguar?

G35 is the most dependable out of all of them.

Jaguar - Ford
BMW - German, too expensive to maintain
Audi - VW, too many electrical problems

nissan got a awd g35 out?!?!? u should check out the new tl's i was shocked at the stylin honda took plus s*** its a dependable honda :)

The new TL's are really nice. If she wants something a little bit smaller (and cheaper) have her take a look at the TSX...an excellent car for ~$27,000 ($29000 with the navigation system).

As for the others, I'd stay with the G35 or the A4. BMW's are too pricey to maintain...and the Jag X-type isn't all that good of a car IMO (and also in the opinion of many reviewers).

Audis don't have the same problems as VW's...they are very reliable. My uncle has driven 6 different Audis over the past 20 years with no major problems.

yeh i sec the audi reilablity...my bro has a 03 a8 and its so smooth i luv the car for a crusier but my gf's gti is a pain, his clutch just went up at only 15k and they aint tyrin to cover it......im so glad i didnt get a gti :) anyway i think she should stick with a acura.....when i get a "family car" i want a tl or audi :)

X-type sucks, way over priced, especially the 3.0 model. It handles fairly well, but nothing great. S60R from Volvo is far better for the same price.

Since it has to be AWD, and assuming it's to be left stock, then I'd go for the G35x. If modding is happening, then the A4.

If it doesn't have to be AWD, I think there's a good value in the new TL from Acura.

i agree with everyone else X-type sucks all it is, is a ford taurus with redesigned sheet metal on it.

skip x-type. bmw is fine, holds its value very well, much better than all the other competitors, so if you're going to sell it in a couple of years, it would be the a good deal. Audi quattro awd is awesome and the car is fine, but the interiors are a little wanting.

Acura TL is FWD, I dont' consider a car with fwd a luxury car. It's fine but not as good in handling as the other competitors.

G35 is very nice, yet it's pricey to fix if you get in an accident. Go check out the insurance crash test results. But the drivetrain in G35 is cool 100RWD in normal conditions then switches to whatever split when needed.

I say bimmer, audi, or G35, depending on her taste.
