Hey guys, I just installed my new clutch and took my car out for a spin and it is running good, but 1 problem, it wont shift into reverse. Does anyone know what the problem is. I was extremely careful putting the tranny in and taking it out. I tried to adjust the shift linkages a little, but they are pretty much where they are supposed to be since there is no adjustment to them.

Should i try to take out the little ball and bring and put them back in even though I never messed with that part?

take a look at the shift linkage to make sure nothing is in the way, i had tht problem and a ratchet extension fell and was blocking 3rd gear lol i doubt this is your problem but it wont hurt to check

No, that was what i originally thought it was but that was a no go. Thanks for the thought though. It sounds like something inside the tranny is physically blocking it(I tried to physically shift it under the car with the car off). Im thinking the reverse got misaligned somehow when I took the tranny out so im thinking im going to try to roll the car backwards a litlle while it is in gear and see what happens (being careful not to damage anything of coarse), but this is just a thought. This is my first clutch job and this is the first time this has happened to me so im just trying to figure it out. Please any more info could be helpful. My car has been out for 3 weeks and it needs to get going again.

Still a no go, im probably gonna upload a video sometime so you guys could see what's up.

i don't know much about transmissions, but those side gears that you lock the axles into...could they somehow affect going into reverse? you transmission experts where are you?
