So here's the situation. Stopped at an intersection. POURING rain. "Summer" tires:

I go on my way when the light changes. I'm not getting any traction in 1st, so I shift into 2nd. I guess I must have gained traction mid-shift because as soon as I got it into 2nd, the nose dips and I throw a CEL.

Automatically, I get off the gas and coast through the intersection. I get back on the gas one I check all gauges and make sure I have gear function and there isn't any smoke. The car is really sluggish, losing vacuum, but doesn't appear to be building boost. Also, the belt screeches when I turn/accelerate (not all the time, but towards the top of the revs).

I make it to my girlfriend's house and pull up in the garage, do my usual routine, and get out of the car. I proceed to do a general walk-around, checking to make sure I'm not leaking anything. Everything looks good, so I pop the hood. I look around in the bay with a flashlight but I don't notice anything out of order.

Here's a list of what I think could be wrong:
-Loosened/released coupler on the FMIC piping
-Broken WGA

Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. HAPPY AMURRICUH DAY

Sounds like a little water got to your maf pull it off and dry it out with some compressed air. If that doesn't do it try to get the code read at the auto parts.

Shane, you're the man. Had water in the MAF. Cleaned it out, but I still have a CEL. Going to get it diagnosed soon.

For the first time in 8yrs running a cai with the filter about 8" from the ground I had a cel a few weeks ago after what seemed like a small puddle that I would have thought would commonly splash behind the front tires. Didn't and I sucked up about a quart into my ic. Cel kept popping back up after simply drying the piping and maf. It pretty much pooled up at every coupler. So I ran some compressed air from just before the maf and uncoupled ic and had a nice sized puddle that could have caused a catastrophe :O but luckily didnt' :)

So I just got the codes scanned at AutoZone and here's what they say:

P0171
Lean A/F ratio in bank 1

Possible causes:
Low fuel pressure
Large vacuum leak
Dirty/defective MAF sensor
Engine mechanical condition

P0102
MAF sensor low input signal

Possible causes:
Large vacuum leak
Leak in air duct tube
Open or short circuit condition
Faulty MAF sensor

P0103
MAF high input signal

Possible causes:
Open or short circuit condition
Poor electrical connection
Faulty MAF sensor

P0113
IAT circuit high input.

Possible causes:
Open or short circuit condition
Poor electrical connection
Faulty IAT sensor

Could I have fried my MAF?

Everything gets freaked out with water make sure all your piping and ic and couplers are totally free of water before you start looking into other things
