WTF HELLLLLLLLLLPPP!!!!! Coolant boiling

(omg) Man I just had my radiator fixed, because it seperated at the top and sprayed coolant all in my engine bay. Got it back and it holds coolant fine, but now my overflow level is at the low mark, but when I drive like 20 miles it boils and flows out of the spout and gets everywhere. Please someone help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And my coolant fan kicks on tooooooo!!!!(shocked)

What kind of coolant are you using? Maybe you should check the boiling point of the coolant that you have in there currently.
 
Boiling

Could be a bad radiator cap. The cap keeps the cooling system pressurized which should raise the boiling point of the coolant. If it isn't sealing correctly, it could cause the coolant to boil.
 
DEX-COOL is NOT factory. Orange coolant is mainly manufactured for GM cars. Mazda coolant (factory) is GREEN.

I would NOT suggest running DEX-COOL unless Mazda suggests it... which they don't!

Uh, not really. Coolant is also known as ANTI-BOIL. In fact, the more water you add, the lower the boiling point of your coolant. Water as many know, boils at 212F, while coolant doesn't typically boil until 260F+ if its good coolant.

Read up on it.

You could have not ENOUGH coolant.... in which case you'd overheat, and may warp your head. Does your temp gauge go up?
 
are your fans turning on? I had this happen to me and it was a result of my fans not turning on which was causing my car to overheat. the dealer fixed it under warranty, it turned out to be the thermostat. i hope that helps. good luck.
 
Just use a redline coolant and a wetter to keep it cooler and change your radiator cap. Also make sure your waterpump pulley is working or that will cause overheating.
 
the shop that that put in the new radiator might not have purged all the air out of the coolant system

what in sam hill are you talking about?

if there is air in it, it means its not full of coolant... (uh, duh?)

you don't "purge" the air out of the system. you put in more coolant directly to the radiator, cycle it, and add more as needed.

Dude, first of all, you need to relax with your replies to other people. You have 6 posts and need to chill,

Second, you DO need to burp a coolant system of air when you have interupted the system and drained it. Air in the system can cause the system to build too much pressure and exactly what this guy is expieriencing happen.

Relax man, you seem to have a bit of an attitude and US MODS and Admin do not tolerate it.

In a perfect world, yes. In reality, it can get trapped in all sorts of places and can be a PITA to get out. I haven't dealt with this on the MSP yet, but have on two other cars.
 
I'd say replace the thermostate, could be that it's stuck closed. I've seen it happen before not to big of a deal.
