I just got done washing my car, and I always have a lot of black on the bumper from my exhaust but it all usually comes off. Today it didn't I have two huge spots that no matter how hard I scrubbed wouldn't come off. I might try simple green to get it off, it's all I have around here. Has anyone else had this problem? Me and the guy who sold me the car get along very well and he emails to make sure everything is okay with the car every so often, should I call him and say something?

Hadn't thought of a clay bar, I've never used one. I may have to try it...

Can't see it nearly as much in the pictures as you can on the car...

I couldn't feel anything, I guess I'll go get a clay bar and have at it when the little one goes to bed.

sometimes I use scratch x to remove even blemishes including black of my bumper adjacent to my fart can. May work for you.

Claybar as mentioned may work as well.

try wheel cleaner. I use it on my sentra to get the black stains off. if you do get it off wax the area real good.

this happened to my sisters CWP, i just used undiluted cw soap and gently scrubbed with a microfiber towel. Ive also heard that the softest Magic Eraser works well.

I ran to Auto Zone and got a clay bar, and it came right off. That stuff is amazing, I can't believe I'd never used it before. Got this weird tree sap like stuff off my roof too! Thanks guyys!

Mine's doing the exact same thing. I tried a clay bar and it didn't do s***. However, the clay bar was pretty old (even though unused), do those things go bad so to speak over time?

clay bar is the s***! works wonders for bird s*** and sap or any paint stains or overspray. Works on glass too! My wife had a car that was parked by springlers and sat for a long ass time before it got sold and claybar took off all those nasty calcium deposits and waterspots on the paint and glass. The mothers claybar kit in the red box for like $17 at AutoZone is awesome

I got the Meguires box, it works awesome too!

I think they go bad if they get too much moisture or something like that?
