WTB: Your clean Mazda MP3

yea blue, please pm me when you find something out. how strong are these engines, like how many miles can they go?

I will know more tonight after work. . .going to the dealer to find out when the white one they can get can be here and how much they will offer for my car on trade.

great thanks for the input guys. this car has 23k miles i believe, if i remember correctly...they might be a member on this forum, since i've only PMed some people on here and a few days later i just got an email saying they had one for sale. it sounds like a nice car, but it was just a little steep. as for the one in the raffle, i'm waiting for the raffle to end, maybe i can buy it outright, but i have a preference for blue, but it doesn't matter too much i guess....they're both cool..

Blue more then yellow, perfect! We can make a deal. You buy the yellow MP3 thats being raffeled off, and I trade my blue one for your yellow one (naughty). The guy that is selling it lives pretty close to chicago (i think around the wisconsin boarder).

The FS-DE (the one in the MP3) is actually pretty good. The only problems start when people put turbos onto the stock engines and start to push 200-250 whp. But as for a stock engine, I am sure you can get 200,000 miles out of it no problem if you take car of it, and if the pervious owner did the same. There are a bunch of people with Proteges and Protege5's that are anywhere between 150k to over 200k. As with any car the more you beat on it the shorter life span it will have. The good thing is that these engines are pretty cheap, you can get a used low mileage one for about 1000$.

that's good news. and heck yea, lets make the deal!!! haha. I spose that engine isn't very expensive, but since i dont have a hoist, i'd have to pay a sum for the labor piece i spose?
