WRX seats

Sweet dude, those look badass!

Can you give us a breakdown of what's needed to fit them.

Did you use the OEM Mazda rails...or cut stuff, weld stuff, bolt stuff to get a hybrid...????

Yes, details!

Also, how do they feel compared to the 3 stock seats? I feel that they are comfortable, but they need more bolstering and a deeper seatback.

ok, here is the detail...

the length and the width of the seats is almost the same with stock seats...

what i do is, unplugged the seats airbag clip, and then remove the seats. i will post more pics tomorrow...

then i test fit the wrx seats... i then create 'L' bracket to connect the stock wrx bracket to the screw holes in the body... then i weld the 'L' brackets to the wrx seat brackets...

then i use the seat belt clip from the stock seats, remove it and put it on the wrx seats, then put the sensor cable for the seat bealt indicator back...

then for the airbag, i put resistor in it... cant remember the value, but i will double check... i do this so the airbag warning light turned off

because of the 'L' brackets the seat ended up sitting 5mm higher than the stock seat...

i recommend to modify the aftermarket seat bracket and leave the original seat, bracket and rail untouched... just dont take the risk... coz, any mistake on modifying original seat means not reversible...

and for TMG3... u smell chop hey? say whatever u want man... its a free country :)
but fyi, the trim didnt even match the stock trim... the stock trim is stripes and the wrx seat is small dots and mesh.

Look at the lighting and shadows. Why in the hell would someone go through that much trouble to chop in some seats? (screwy)

yeah hes right, that would take some serious time and effort just to get it lookin like that.

oh god it's become a verb!! (rlaugh)

Those seats look hawt man! A buddy of mine has a WRX and the seats are very comfy and very supportive! Do you think with a properly shaped L bracket you would be able to keep the seat at the stock height? My hair is rubbing the roof liner as it is!

my seating position become 5mm higher after the conversion... (when both seat set on the lowest possible)... but honestly, i cant feel the different coz i'm quiet short :P

Those look great--I especially like that they look stock. I just saw some used Evo seats for $600/pair and I'm tempted to try to do something similar. Thanks for the info!
