the WRX is built based off of a rally car, but the ones they sell consumrs are bad rally cars. The STi is a true rally car itself though.

no, they aren't based off of a rally car. A rally car is based off of them. But then again, a Peugot 206 can say the same thing.

Well it does have the same capabilities, if you switched the suspension and other things.........They use the same chasis so yes anything they do with the rally car you could do with you wrx, you would just have to modify it to fit what you want to do with it. Same goes with any car.

Actually, the rally car is based off of the WRX.

They're not leaps and bounds different. I know guys who have Subaru Rally cars. They're modified WRXs...

does it have a center limited slip too? that's why evos aren't supposed to pull their e-brakes, the rear wheels stop and the fronts are still going and the center diff tries to keep them going the same speed. doesn't work out so well. unless you have an 05-06 then the ACD makes the center diff like a normal open diff when the ebrake is pulled. but in general pulling the ebrake while moving in an AWD car is a bad idea

haha, i actually watched the vid now. i didn't really notice a bump (of course until he went over the bank), just someone coming in too fast on a corner in gravel and sliding when he thought he would turn. driving on gravel is a lot different, especially if you don't have good tires and aren't used to it
